We aren’t promised tomorrow. We’re not even promised another minute. I think that a lot of times it’s easy to forget that. We just live like we’ve got all the time in the world at our fingertips.

Sometimes I find myself wanting to know what comes next. But.. that would take away the element of trust from the equation. It would cause me to slip into the attitude that I could handle it on my own, that I knew whatever was coming and didn’t need to wait and trust.

But then.. don’t you think that if we knew what was coming, there are times when we’d run away from it?

Sometimes it brings laughter, sometimes tears. And God knows it all.

We can’t grow without the mixture and perfect plan that God has for us. All we really need to know is that He is there and He knows what He’s doing. Even when we don’t understand.

Every minute we have is a gift. Each one has a purpose. And with each day that passes, I’m finding more and more how important it is to live each moment intentionally. Live it with a purpose. And make it a good one. Make it count. Live as though it was your last minute on earth.

We have to make the most of the time that we’re given, the time that we’re here. Before ya know it, the clock will strike midnight.. and our time will be gone.

“it’s time for letting go
of all of our ‘if onlys’
‘cause we don’t have a time machine
and even if we did
would we really want to use it?
would we really want to go change everything?
‘cause we are who and where and what we are for now
and this is the only moment we can do anything about

so breathe it in and breathe it out
listen to your heartbeat
there’s a wonder in the here and now
it’s right there in front of you
and i don’t want you to miss
the miracle of the moment

there’s only one who knows
what’s really out there waiting
in all the moments yet to be
and all we need to know
is He’s out there waiting
to Him the future’s history
and He has given us a treasure called right now
and this is the only moment we can do anything about
and if it brings you tears
then taste them as they fall
and let them soften your heart
and if it brings you laughter
then throw your head back
and let it go, let it go
you gotta let it go
listen to your heartbeat…”
