“I am happier even than Jane; she only smiles, I laugh.” ~ Elizabeth in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice

Do you laugh?

Smiling is huge. So important. It makes such an impact. But ya know what?

Much as I love smiling, I just could not live without laughter.

A life without laughter, I believe, is not a life well-lived. There’s this quote that goes something like this: “A day without laughter is a day wasted.” And I tend to agree. Because there is something to smile about always. Something to bring a laugh. Often that tends to be a memory, but.. don’t live in the past.

Laugh as you look back. Be able to laugh at yourself — I know I find myself laughing at so many things I’ve done and said! Laugh as you live now, as you live these moments. And laugh as you look forward.

Laugh some every day. I think it’s really good for you. Laughing and smiling makes us really alive.

As you look back on this past year and ahead to this coming year.. count your blessings. Count them and see how much you smile and laugh at all the little things that come to mind. God blesses us with so much, and the Bible is full of references to being glad and rejoicing. So.. I am certain He loves to see and hear our smiles and laughter.
