It’s been such a long time to wait for the final report on the tumor… I haven’t had much news to share over the past week or so. Jon has been tired but Amy says he always gets up ready to work on his therapy.

The appointment was this afternoon at 2 in Cincinnati, and Jon and Amy were told that the tumor was a “very rare, aggressive growing tumor with malignant components”… not the “benign meningioma” that they’d thought it was.

Jon will start radiation next week, and it will go on every day for 6 1/2 weeks.

Pray and believe for Jon, please. I cannot even imagine what it has to be like to be given this news about yourself. God has brought him through so much, and He is always good. He is mighty to save.

Pray and believe for Amy. Pray for strength and courage as she goes through this with Jon.

Pray and believe for Caleb. As the oldest.. I think it affects him differently even than it does Josh. To have his parents away for so long..

Pray and believe for Josh. He’s the second of the older boys and has had a harder time with it all than the younger kids.

Pray and believe for Eli. As he prays “Help my daddy feel better” and believes with that sweet, simple faith.

Pray and believe for Liz. The little girl princess who is also missing her daddy.

Pray and believe for all six of them as a family too. They are so dear to my heart.

And I know they are trusting God through it all. In Amy’s words, “We are shaken but know our God STILL reigns.”

I don’t understand this. But I know God has a reason and a plan. Some things in life we just don’t understand. But I choose to trust anyway

And I really do believe God is healing Jon. Completely. 🙂

Pray, believe, and keep praising God in the storm along with us, please. The story so far…
