God works through everything. If I have learned anything over these past few months, I have learned and relearned over and over just how big God is and how He uses every detail, knitting them all together for the good of all of us who love Him (Romans 8:28).

Sometimes it is hard to see how He is weaving the craziness of life together into something beautiful, while other times it seems oh-so-easy.

The other day, Jon began to have pressure and lose the vision in his eye, so the doctors wanted him to have an MRI sooner rather than later.. because they were, of course, concerned about it. The MRI ended up being last October 29th, rather than December 9th, due to the urgency of it all. They had to wait all weekend, though, not knowing the results of the test… waiting is so hard.

Even when you know God is here and has Jon and his family in His hands, it is still awfully hard. It’s scary.

The nurse told them it wasn’t “anything bad”, but they had to wait until today to see the doctor and find out what the MRI said.

Yesterday as he was driving home from work, Amy said Jon had a giant pain in his eye, and then his vision came back… and last night it was still fine, and the pressure was all gone!

They went and got the results today and heard that there is no new growth, which is a huge answer to prayer! The doctors didn’t have any explanation for the events of the last week, but Amy says his vision has come back better than before, so that is good news. Maybe the pressure and all were solely so the MRI could be done over a month earlier than scheduled so there would be that much less time to wait before knowing anything from it…

The next one is coming up in March.

Anyway, God reassures in the scary times and the happy, in the long waits and in the times when the waiting is over… He reassures that He is here, He is taking care of us all, He is at work constantly in, through, and all around us, and He loves us more than we can ever know. He reassures that He does heal, and that He is healing Jon… He has done so much in this family’s life over these past months and will continue to do so.

Thank you much for all your prayers, and please, please, please keep on praying, believing, and praising for all God is doing, has done, and will do in the future. Every prayer is appreciated more than you’ll probably ever know. If you haven’t already, please catch up on their story!
