Okay.. I love this song. Really, really love it.

While my life is so far from even seeming perfect, I love how this song remarks about the good in everyday life. Just the stuff that nobody even thinks about anymore. Stuff that most Americans so take for granted.

And I am reminded once again that God has small miracles all around us. He is always up to something good, something so much better than we even realize. We’re so often out to prove that wrong though… so much so that we miss everything that we have to be thankful for. Sometimes it’s unconscious, but I feel like there is overwhelming pressure from the world to be always complaining about one thing or another.

I personally don’t want to live a complaining lifestyle. I want to find everything I can to be thankful for. The big and the small. And while I know I don’t think of being thankful nearly as much as I really should, it’s something I’m trying to do more and more.

I just started a blog to post solely good things on. Just random good things that happen each day. The small miracles and the big ones, the everyday routine things that make me smile.. just whatever good things stand out about the day. It’s helpful to me to be very intentional about finding those good things… because through this, I am encouraged to look for something good, no matter how small it may seem to others.

Thank you so much for your every prayer for Jon and his family. Please keep on praising, praying, and believing as his next scans are coming up soon in May. If you’re not familiar with this family, please take a few minutes to catch up on his story.
